The Grounded Heart: Meet Kim
Advocate. Storyteller. Guide.
By day, I work in human connection as a Human Resources Manager. Through years of leadership development and workplace culture work, I've learned that every person needs to be seen, heard, and valued. I've spent my career building cultures of belonging, and I carry that same mission into my work as an End-of-Life Doula and Grief Coach.
I believe the end of life is not just a clinical event. It is a sacred transition that deserves the same intention, advocacy, and beauty as any other milestone.
Why I Do This
My life has been shaped by service, from leading animal rescue efforts to protecting the stories within our National Parks. Whether I'm advocating for an animal who can't speak for itself or helping a family plan a legacy, my "why" stays the same: to be a steady partner to people during their most vulnerable and transformative moments.
I'm especially called to serve people who are too often overlooked in end-of-life care: underserved communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals and families, and anyone who wants their story honored exactly as they lived it.
I believe every person deserves to make informed choices about how their life ends. I support clients as they explore all of their end-of-life options, including medical aid in dying where it is legally available.
And because our animals are family too, I support both people and their pets at the end of life.

My Approach: Structure Meets Soul
My background in HR and nonprofit leadership lets me bring practical organization and deep empathy to this work. I'm not afraid of the paperwork, the planning, or the hard conversations. Think of me as a coach for the soul and a project manager for your peace of mind.
People tell me I'm a calming presence, and I'll admit I bring as much laughter as quiet reassurance. Even in the hardest seasons, there's room for both.
I'm here to handle the details so you and your loved ones can focus on what matters most: connection.
Beyond the Work
When I'm not working or volunteering, you'll likely find me:
In nature: recharging in the woods or a local park
With my pets: enjoying the company of my own rescued animals
At my writing desk: nothing beats the magic of a handwritten letter, and I bring that love of the personal touch to everything I do
Whether you're looking for an end-of-life planner, a grief companion, or an advocate to help you find your voice, all are welcome here. Let's write this chapter of your story together.
