What is a Death Doula?
A death doula is a compassionate, non-medical guide who supports individuals and their loved ones through the final chapter of life. Just as a birth doula provides care and presence during the beginning of life, a death doula offers steady, respectful support at the end—helping bring comfort, clarity, and meaning to a deeply personal experience.
My role as a death doula is to walk alongside you—emotionally, spiritually, and practically—during a time that can feel overwhelming or uncertain. I provide a calming presence, help facilitate important conversations, assist with advance planning, and create space for reflection, connection, and closure. Whether that means sitting quietly at the bedside, helping someone articulate their wishes, guiding legacy projects, or supporting family members as they navigate grief, my care is always centered on honoring the individual’s values and choices.
This support can also extend to the loss of beloved pets. The bond we share with animals is profound, and their passing can carry deep grief that deserves to be acknowledged and held with care. I offer gentle support through pet end-of-life transitions and loss, helping create meaningful ways to honor their lives and process the emotions that follow.
I believe that dying, like living, deserves dignity, compassion, and intention. My goal is not to take control, but to empower—ensuring that no one feels alone, unheard, or unprepared. Each journey is unique, and I am here to meet you exactly where you are, offering gentle guidance and unwavering support every step of the way.
