The Grounded Heart: Meet Kim

.Advocate. Storyteller. Guide.

By day, I navigate the complexities of human connection as a Human Resources Manager. In the world of professional development and workplace culture, I’ve learned that every person has a deep need to be seen, heard, and valued. I’ve spent my career building "cultures of belonging," and I carry that same mission into my work as a Death Doula and Grief Educator.

I believe that the end of life is not just a clinical event, but a sacred transition that deserves the same level of intentionality, advocacy, and beauty as any other milestone.

Why I Do This

My life is a tapestry of service—from leading animal rescue efforts to protecting the stories within our National Parks. Whether I am advocating for a voiceless animal or helping a family navigate the logistics of a legacy, my core "why" remains the same: to be a partner to people during their most vulnerable and transformative moments.

I am particularly called to serve the "outliers"—those who have chosen a different path, the underserved, and those who want to ensure their unique story is told exactly as they lived it.

My Approach: Structure Meets Soul

Because of my background in HR and nonprofit leadership, I bring a unique blend of practical organization and deep empathy to the doula space. I’m not afraid of the paperwork, the planning, or the "hard" conversations. I see myself as a coach for the soul and a project manager for your peace of mind.

I’m here to handle the details so that you and your loved ones can focus on what matters most: connection.

Beyond the Work

When I’m not working or volunteering, you’ll likely find me:

  • In Nature: Recharging in the woods or a local park.

  • With my Cats: Enjoying the quiet companionship of my own rescued animals.

  • At the Writing Desk: I am a firm believer that nothing beats the tactile magic of a handwritten letter. I bring this love of "the personal touch" to everything I do.

Whether you are looking for an end-of-life planner, a grief companion, or simply an advocate to help you find your voice, all are welcome here. Let’s write this chapter of your story together.
