Changing the way we talk about death

Death is one of the few experiences every one of us will share, yet it's often the one we're least prepared for. I believe that when we talk openly about death, dying, and grief, we make better choices, feel less alone, and care for one another more fully.

That's why my work extends beyond the bedside and into the community. Through education and advocacy, I help people understand their options, prepare for what's ahead, and make sure every voice is heard at the end of life.

Advocating for Every Voice

Too many people face the end of life without the support, information, or respect they deserve. I'm especially committed to underserved communities across South Carolina, including LGBTQIA+ individuals and families, who often face added barriers in healthcare and end-of-life planning.

I work to connect with community leaders and local officials to raise awareness of these gaps and advocate for more inclusive, compassionate end-of-life care.

I also believe every person deserves to understand all of their end-of-life options, including medical aid in dying. I support education and open conversation about end-of-life choice, so people can make informed decisions that reflect their own values.

Workplace Presentations

With a career in Human Resources, I understand how deeply grief affects people at work, and how rarely workplaces are prepared to support it. I offer presentations for organizations on:

  • Supporting grieving employees and coworkers

  • Talking about mortality and loss at work

  • Creating compassionate bereavement practices and policies

Invite Me to Speak

I'd love to bring these conversations to your community group, workplace, faith community, or organization. Presentations can be tailored to your audience and offered in person across the Midlands or virtually.

Driven by curiosity and built on purpose, this is where bold thinking meets thoughtful execution. Let’s create something meaningful together.
